We had a super fun birthday extravaganza to celebrate Garrett's big day. I went to his class in the morning where we share glazed donuts, talked about how wonderful Garrett is, and also brought our pet guinea pig Cosmo for show and tell. The donuts and Cosmo were a hit, and it's always fun to hang out with second graders!

went swimming at the Legacy Center with birthday friends
and even later in the day we...
opened presents
and after that we celebrated with
pumpkin pie (a birthday boy request)
and a #7 (even though he's 8) candle because that's how we roll around here. I love love love that he chooses pumpkin pie for this birthday cake!

and a glow-in-the-dark wall ball.
It was a fun day celebrating a fun kid in many fun ways!
